Marvin Hendrix Stacy was professor of civil engineering at the University of North Carolina, dean of the faculty, and acting president, 1918-1919. The collection includes papers relating to Stacy's service with the University of North Carolina, chiefly letters of condolence following his death in 1919; a few items relating to his wife, Inez Koonce Stacy, including her service as first adviser to women and dean of women at the University of North Carolina, 1919-1945; and a few other items.
